The Tides is a series that chronicles the daily drama and ever-changing story of the landscape at the ocean’s edge: its denizens, their life pursuits, inevitable demise, a microcosm of all life.
Biography: Janice Tieken's visual art, poetry, and photography have been published and showcased in museums and galleries internationally and she has won numerous awards. Ongoing series include ORCHID REQUIEM, NAKED LUNCH, The Trees, The Tides, Islands, and Drive-By’s.
She has a BFA from Otis Art Institute; a Master's in Psychology, and a professional MFT license.
Her recently published book, Condor Dolly, supporting efforts to save the California Condor from extinction, is now in the archives of the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum.
