"Spit Shine"
While on a recent trip to Avignon, France, I spotted this man who found someone else's old shoes in the street. He sat down and began giving these shoes a classic cleaning with a good old spit shine.
Biography: Michael Schmidt is a 27 year old, self-taught photographer from Brooklyn, NY. While in the US Coast Guard he began taking photographs at age 23 at his first duty station in Honolulu, Hawaii. Michael is very diverse in his subject matter and likes to convey beauty and struggle in his images. He is currently located in Manhattan, NY where he attends “The School of Visual Arts”, majoring in Photography for a Bachelors of Fine Arts. He plans to continue to excel as an artist, creating work that is unique and inspiring.
