Then when I see the fragments as photographs I find surprises or something special that are beyond optical fact, and get an indescribably refreshing feeling. Needless to say, I said special but it is just a scenery which existed certainly. We can find a new world by changing our views only a little. |

Charit Pusiri Thailand Nominee "Black & Milk #1" The concept of this project is hi-speed photography of black and white milk splashes. In this project I tried to capture the milk splash which is an undefined and unpredictable form combined with props such as plexi-glass or other geometrical shape objects which is a defined form to create a contrast with the milk splash. I also tried to create the sense of illusion to the images by creating a somewhat impossible scene to make the series more interesting and surreal. |

Mike Cable USA Nominee "Waiting" This is an old raincoat I found hanging on the door of an abandoned and burned out house, as if it was still waiting for it's owner to come back. I recently went back to shoot more photos of the house and it was gone. The home had been bulldozed over to make room for a new one. This is a major reason why I like to photograph these old relics as they are constantly disappearing. They are also a part of the areas history which will never appear again.. |
