Biography: Ann George is a visual artist who melds pixels paper and paint to create photographic fusions that celebrate her native Louisiana as well as people and places that move her. Most recently she has begun bodies of work as photogravures. This printing process lends itself to the deep dark texture and broad tonal ranges that are hallmarks of her work. Ann’s critics have compared her work to historical photographers as her approach yields a vintage pictorial influence.
