Biography: Matt Beard / b.1972 Venice, CA I grew up on the Westside of Los Angeles, CA. From the early 1980's through the end of the 90's I could usually be found on the beach, or in a backyard...surfing waves, skating rickety plywood ramps, or grinding across the cracked plaster of some neighbor's empty pool.
