Biography: Dennis Manarchy was raised in Rockford, Illinois and grew a love for photography at an early age.
Upon graduation from Rochester Institute of Technology he was fortunate to serve an apprenticeship for legendary photographer, Irving Penn.
Dennis was drafted into the army in 1968, serving as Lieutenant in the Vietnam War.
Returning home disillusioned, he was taken under the care of a Lumbee Indian chief, spending 6 months immersing himself in their daily life…a pivotal experience…one that led him back to his art.
He built a studio in Chicago and has been creating never looking back.
