"ZAIDO (For my deceased father…)"
This project is my preservation of the 1300-year-old Japanese ritual festivity “Zaido.”
Biography: Yukari Chikura born in Tokyo is the winner of STEIDL BOOK AWARD and her work will be published by STEIDL.
She was selected as “FOTOFEST Discoveries of the Meeting Place” & “Best of IPA Award”. She won LensCulture Emerging Talent Awards, Sony World Photography Awards, Photolucida Critical Mass TOP50, IPA, National Geographic among others.She held solo and group exhibition at museum, gallery around the world. Some projects have collected in Griffin Museum in US , & Bibliotheque National de France. She was artist in residence of Rokko International Photography Festival 2015.
