"Dreaming Escher"
This photo was shot on a staircase of a very old building in Zadar, Croatia. My daughter was at the ground floor looking up at me. I duplicated the stairs on the right side because the composition and the motif reminded me of a Dutch graphic artist M. C. Escher whose works I have admired since childhood. His work features exploration of infinity, reflection, symmetry, perspective & impossible objects.
Biography: Maja Strgar Kurecic is a fine art photographer and an Associate Professor of photography at the Faculty of Graphic Arts, University of Zagreb, Croatia. She has been involved in photography for over 25 years. At the beginning of her career, Maja engaged mostly in advertising and reportage photography. The last few years she devoted to projects that fall within the field of abstract photography.
