"Boundaries II (1)"
Someone who struggles with his feelings. He likes to dress as a woman occasionally. Does not know the reason why, only that it gives a pleasant and happy feeling.
It's his biggest secret, nobody knows his secret. He is afraid that he will end up turning people away from him. He is afraid to loose his wife and children if his secret comes in the public. The shame he feels when he hangs women's clothes in his wife's closet is terrible, it makes him desperate and every time he thinks again; "This was the last time".
Society and his social environment impose restrictions on this man. Dress up as a woman is not allowed, even indoors. The feelings he cherishes are not accepted and often not tolerated at all. He will be asked if it is all right in his mind. Even though it makes him very happy, people think he should seek professional help.
No matter how hard he tries to put his "problem" away, every now and then he must put on his wife's dress and stockings. It is an urge he cannot resist.
The blissful moment when he is dressed makes him very happy for a while.
Throughout history we see many men dressed in skirts, robes or dresses, (the Scottish kilt, Islamic dresses, other clergy including the Pope) this is considered normal
and even has a certain status. What is so different now for men who must dress up "secretly" nowadays, so as not to have to go through life as eccentric?
The question that comes to mind is; "Is it really that bad that someone is dresses in clothes of the opposite sex, that he can be, who he would like to be. Who are we to pass judgment on him? It makes him happy, he does not hurt anyone. Society hurts him by not tolerating it. Why do we tolerate women in men's clothing and not men in women's clothing? "
Biography: I studied photography at the Photo academy in Holland and have been working for for many years with companies in the private sector and on personal projects. I like to create images which are not common. People need to think when they see them. I like it when the viewers start a discussion about my images. This means that the image makes an impact on them. I think it is important that images speak for themselves. I like to make the images in black and white, because colors are often misleading. I prefer to show people what I want them to see without color distracting them.
