Biography: Daniel Forster was born in Murten, Switzerland.
He became a freelance yachting photographer in 1974 and has since covered 13 America's Cups and 11 Olympic Games.
In 1986 TIME magazine sent Daniel for five months to Perth, Australia and used his picture of America's Cup winner Dennis Conner on the February 1987 cover.
In 1988 Daniel moved from Switzerland to Rhode Island, USA.
He was the official photographer for Bill Koch's America3 team in 1992 when they won the America's Cup. Daniel is one of the official photographers covering the Rolex Yachting Events.
