"I Am Midtown East"
The Midtown Manhattan skyline as seen from Roosevelt Island.
Biography: We all see the same things, but what differentiates photographers is how we interpret them. My interpretation begins with B&W photography that centers on a desire to alter the subjects inherent colored reality in order to see its defining essence. Long exposures allow me to further pinpoint the subjects defining essence as they smooth away distraction. I believe all images must create a strong emotion on the viewer and leave a dramatic impression the instant they are viewed. Vision, defining essence, presence, emotion and a lasting impression are the primary principles of my photography.
