Biography: When I was 15 years old my high school photography teacher introduced me to Ray Metzker’s high contrast images of Philadelphia and Chicago in the 1950s. After that I started looking at any work that was suggested to me as I tried to fill in the pieces and create a history of photography for myself. Ever since then I’ve tried to have my camera on me as often as possible in an effort to use it like a mechanical extension to my arm.
