Photographs were made as a Meditation on Details from original artworks by Ioannis Karavelis.
Biography: Ioannis Karavelis works and lives between Athens, Marseille, Istanbul. His main artistic focus is on painting and callicraphy. He was taught the art of Bokusho by the Japanese master of Calligraphy Ransui Yakata. His works were exhibited in Europe and Japan. Photography is used to extract the essence from details on a selection of original artworks made on various techniques and styles. It is an important and very useful medium in the artistic process that reveals delicate qualities of the artworks. A meditation to the detail.
